David Roth began his career in UK politics before transitioning into advertising and later joining Kingfisher’s B&Q as UK and International Marketing Director, helping lead its global expansion, including time spent in Shanghai. He is now CEO of The Store, WPP’s Global Retail Practice, and Chairman of BAV, overseeing the world’s largest brand equity platform. A global expert on branding, AI, and consumer change - especially in China - David has authored books like Smart Shopping, The China Dream, and LOOK – A Book of Changes, and produced documentaries on topics such as Alibaba and China’s retail evolution. He has also held board roles at the China-Britain Business Council and VSBLTY Technology Group.
