I just returned from my first trip to China, taking 5 Israeli startups to the beautiful island of Hainan to pitch and meet with dozens of Chinese investors hungry for new technology. In just 2 days of networking, I learned more about business in China than in years of working with incoming Chinese delegations in Israel.

Air pollution is one of the most significant environmental challenges we face, with its adverse impact on our health, the environment and the economy. The concept of 'Inspiring science, enhancing life' is central to Johnson Matthey's ethos and the company is committed to finding technologies and solutions which help enhance human well-being. As part of this mission, the company is looking to collaborate with companies innovating in clean air solutions, across a range of applications and environments...
Technologies - air quality/air purification/pollution reduction based on innovative technologies in any of the following:

Interiors, such inside a car/train/airplane/buildings including sensing, reporting, and contaminant reduction including Smart Building systems

Exteriors, such as urban environment including Smart City systems

Non-Urban environments such agro/farming/livestock with air quality problems caused by spraying, livestock, etc.
Services - big data, sensoring, linking data collection with analysis, and other data-based approaches to Clean Air.
Base chemistry such as the capture of molecules.
Related technologies such as personal protection - Smart Clothing or Smart Accessories.
Treatment of pollution at source - not for standard manufacturing but for specific types of manufacturing. An example would be furniture manufacturing with VOC/glues/resins that are released into the air. The technology may include elimination, detection, capture VOC before spray nozzle, etc.
Domestic air quality situations such as cleaning sprays, home heating by wood stoves or fireplace, etc.
